Hi,
I really like your insights in how to help the body heal and strengthen. I have problems with both of my Achilles, that flair up regularly. They have given me trouble for the past 35 years and seem to becoming more irritable as I age. I know you will have a answer for this, as you have helped me in many ways already through you PBS programs. Keep up the great work.
Thanks,
Charlie
Hi Charlie,
The exercises for the Achilles are all the heel raisers, the flexing & pointing of the feet, the calf stretches and even some hamstring exercises.
The best thing is to do a 1/2 hr workout 4 to 5 times a week and that should keep your Achilles problem under control. The muscles work in chains and so to heel one group you need to work the entire chains. The DVD's or TV shows all work complete chains.Hope this helps!
My best,
